Method:
1) Wash and soak the rice in
sufficient water for 15-20 minutes.
2) Take the oil in a heavy bottomed
vessel.
3) Put in the onions, the spices (except
the chillies) and fry till the
onions turn golden brown.
4) When done, add red chilli powder and fry
for a couple of
seconds.
5) Now add the soacked rice along with
water and salt.
6) Cook on a high flame till the first
boil then lower the flame till the
rice is done.
