Pista
Halwa
Ingredients:
Pistachio nuts,whole 100gms
Sugar 1 cup.
Water 2 cups
Cornflour 4 tbsps
Cardamon Powder 1 tsp
Nutmeg Powder ½ tsp
Saffron ½ tsp
Green good colour ¼ tsp
Oil ½ cup
Method:
Mix 1 cup of water with the sugar, make a
syrup of a one thread consistency. Add the
cardamon powder, nutmeg powder & saffron.
Mix the cornflour with 1 cup
of water to form a thin batter. Heat oil over
low fire, add the cornflour, bring to a boil
stiring continuously; when the mixture thickens,
gradually add the sugar syrup & continue
to stir. Add the pistachio nuts & stir
till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
Pour into an 8” x 12”
tray with a 2” depth. Cool, cut into
required sizes.
