Born: Sindh, Pakistan, 3.6.1940

Bio: Indira Jaising is perhaps the most prominent woman lawyer in India. She has handled such complex cases as Roopan Deol Bajaj, Air India air hostesses, Phoolan Devi's Bandit Queen depiction, the Bhopal disaster and the Tehri Dam, She has a special interest in cases related to injustice toward women and has made a name as a lawyer who chooses her cases by remaining morally conscious. She is the editor of Lawyers Magazine and has edited Justice for women. Member of the senior council since 1986. Her knowledge and experience in law has her involved in various academic and professional activities.
