Komal Chhabria

Komal Chhabria, daughter of the NRI liquor baron Manohar Rajaram Chhabria, is certainly her papa's daughter. But her entry into the family business was partly due to the power struggle within the family, between two brothers, Manohar and Kishore.
The latter had to be contained from taking control of Shaw Wallace. Komal a graduate from Sydenham College, Bombay, believed in her father's cause. Therefore, despite reservations, Manohar had to yeild to Komal's wishes.

The timing was crucial. The stakes were high. She thus chose to save her father's Rs 3000 crore Indian empire. Komal went about damage control measures rather deftly. Though she is still learning the ropes, she is, in many ways, better than her father -- something that he surely is proud of !
