Dr. Poornima Advani is the one and only Physiotherapist-cum-Ph D in Laws in Asia. She has combined Physiotherapy and Law and blended both through her career and her writings in media and authoring books.
She was nominated as Chairman of National Commission for Women in 2002 and member in 1998 and made it her mission to work towards empowerment of women and to project the need for more stringent laws in a bid to reduce, if not eradicate, the atrocities against women and give them the right placement in their homes and society which should have been theirs by birth.

In recognition of her outstanding academic achievements and self-less services in every field, she has earned innumerable prizes, awards, citations and trophies.
