| Ingredients:
Potatoes, boiled & Mashed 1 cup
Cabbage, boiled 1 cup
Carrots, shredded 1 cup
Beans, finely sliced 1 cup
Green peas,par boiled 1 cup
Gram flour (besan) ½ cup
Breadcrumbs 1 cup
Green chillies, finely chopped tbsp.
Ginger, finely chopped 1 tbsp.
Salt 1 tsp
Oil for frying
Method:
Mix all the vegetables together, mash well,
add the salt & gram flour, mix together.
Take a tablespoon
of the prepared mixture & shape into smooth
round balls. Roll in the breadcrumbs & deep
fry in hot oil. Remove when golden brown, drain
out excess oil & continue to complete all
the koftas in the same way. Keep aside for the
gravy.
Ingredients for the gravy:
Onions, grated large
Tomatoes,peeled, finely chopped 4 large
Corriander powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Garam masala Powder 1 tsp
Chilly powder 1 tsp
Almonds, powdered 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Fresh Cream 1 cup
Oil 2 tbsps
Method:
Heat oil in a pan & fry the onions to a
brownish colour. Add the tomatoes & continue
to fry for a few minutes. Add the chilly powder,
cumin powder, powdered almonds & salt; add
½ a cup of water & simmer over low
heat for about 8-10 minutes.
Add ½ of the cream &
mix well over the fire for about 5 minutes.
When ready to serve pour the
gravy over the koftas. Pour over the rest of
the cream & serve hot.
