Ahmedabad-based
Arjandas was a traditional Bhagat singer, who was a direct
descendent of the Bhagat clan. The Sindhi Bhagat tradition
handed down from generation to generation was perfected
by Arjandas. Good looking and gifted with a velvety voice,
he was among the youngest Bhagats who still dons the traditional
robes (chhr, jama and pagdi). His programmes were regularly
featured on radio and television. Arjandas was a popular
performer at religious festivals and gatherings in villages
as well as cities.
