There are about 10,000 Sindhi families in the United States of America. Most of them are settled in big cities like Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco etc. Business-driven Sindhis are well settled in thousands in the United States of America, the land of fortunes, and Sindhis have been attaching much importance to trade and Sindhis are having business interests in different American cities in varied segments like electronics - including computers with software packages, automobiles, communications, real estate etc.
In order to have a unified and significant presence in the USA, the land of wealth and comforts, Sindhis have associations in different states such as New York, California, New Jersey etc.
American Institute of Sindhology is aimed at developing and improving Indus Valley culture. Health professionals started the American British Sindhi Medical Network. Some of the Sindhi associations in the USA are Sindhi Youth Association of North America, Sindhi Association of New Jersey, Sindhi Association of Washington and Sindhi Sabha of Georgia.
