Sindhi Dramas

Many Sindhi dramas were staged at Hong Kong during last 40 years. Sindhi businessmen are very busy in their work even they spare their little time for cultural and social activities. They have not kept the photographs for record purpose. To the best knowledge and memory of Mr. G. T. Gul the noted drama director, radio announcer and social worker of Hong Kong has given us the following record of the dramas played by our Sindhi artistes during last three decades.

Following plays were written adopted and directed by Shri Inshwar Mahtaney and presented by the various groups.
1955 - Totaram Sitaram was presented by India Club.
1959 - Takhito Bakhito was presented in the New Year programme.
1960 - Neem Tabib Khatire Jaan was presented on the New Year.
1974 - Doole mangiyo Buleeg saan was presented by Friday Club.
1976 - Interview was presented by Friday Club.
1977 - Sadhini Meharh was presented by Indian Women's Club
1978 - Ba Chabat Bhaurweri presented by Indian Arts Circle.
1982 - Sadhu Vaswania-ji-jeewani was presented by Sadhu Vaswani Centre.
1988 - Rummi Rang Rangillee was presented by Hindu Association on Diwali Ball.
Other plays were Vathi de joi, Atte-jo-ghobato, Muthiyo Vich me mardu, Chhad ta Luddan, Mastano bhayo, Likal Laal. Ghar Verhaou was presented by India Club on 4th September 1976 which was written produced & directed by Mrs. Rani Hiranand. Sassu bi pyar kayo was presented by Zodiac Club on 30th May 1980. The Tootariyoun was written by Lall staged on 13th March 1985. India Association & India club are very much interested in the cultural activities Almost every year they presented one or the other drama on the Diwali Bals programme.

1977 - (9th Nov) Kathi-ji-Sassu, Aj-ji-Nunha was presented by Mrs. Rani Hiranand for India Association H.K.
1978 - (6th Nov.) Ghar Jamai was presented by Mrs. Indu Mirpuri for India Association .K.
1981 - (24th Oct.) Kanjoos Makhichoos) was written by Mrs. Mira Mathani & Mr. Lall and directed by Mrs. Rani Hiranand for India Association H.K.
1982 - (12th Nov) Darling Darling was written by Mrs. Mira Mathani and Mr. Lall and jointly directed by Mrs. Rani & Mrs. Mira
1983 - (2nd Nov) Chakkar pe chakkar was presented & directed by Rani Hiranand and Mira Mahtani for India Association H.K.
1985 - (9th Nov) Cho?Cha?Kanih Saan? Was jointly presented by India Association, India Club and Hindu Associated, directed by Rani Hiranand.
1986 - (3rd Oct) Ubati Chamat was presented by India Association & India Club Rani Hiranand directed.
1987 - (20th Oct.) Noukiri Ya Chokiri was presented by India Association & India Club.
