Sindhi Association of New Jersey

With the mission of promoting Sindhi traditions and social development among Sindhi families, a group of friends formed the Sindhi Association of New Jersey (SANJ) in 1985.

Ever since its inception, SANJ has been celebrating Indian festivals like Cheti Chand and Diwali. The SANJ also organizes an annual picnic and youth programmes to promote Sindhi culture and heritage.

The SANJ hosted the First Sindhi Sammelan in July 1994 and was attended by 150 people from around the globe. The SANJ fosters friendship among other Sindhi organizations.

The Association has the following objectives: To promote Sindhi Hindu culture and traditions and the Sindhi language among members of the Sindhis; to encourage social interaction among the Sindhis; to enhance harmony between Indian and non-Indian communities in New Jersey, America; to promote interactions with Sindhis throughout North America and other parts of the world and support charitable causes.
