UNION
ACADEMY: Sadhu Navalrai, Sadhu Hiranand and
Pribhdas Shewakram started first school in Sind in
Hyderabd on 28th October 1888.
NARI SHALA: Rajrishi Dayaram Gidumal Shahani
and Social Reform Association started this Nari Shala
to provide employment to widows, who used to teach
sewing etc. to girls.
SOCIAL REFORM ASSOCIATION: Dayaram
Gidumal and Metharam Gidumal started the Association
at Hyderabad. It was registered on August 15th 1888.
This was the first organisation of its kind, which
introduced various reforms. These were to be implemented
very strictly. Any lapse had social stigma attached
to it.
FIRST SINDHI NOVEL: 'Dil Aram' written by
Mirza Qalich Beg is the first original Sindhi novel.
SINDHI PAHAKA: Diwan Kauromal Chandanmal
Khilanani published this book incorporating about
fourteen hundred Sindhi sayings.
SINDHI GUJHARATUN: Diwan Kauromal
Chandanmal Khilnani published this book of common
Sindhi riddles.
