FIRST
SINDHI I.C.S. OFFICER: Mr. Hiranand
Khushiram Kripalani was the first Sindhi to
have become I.C.S.
FIRST CASE OF SEDITION AGAINST 6 SINDHIS:
A case of sedition was filed against Maharaj
Gordhan Kalachand Sharma, the writer and Shri
Veerumal Begraj and Mr. Chetumal Hariram,
printers of the Sindhi booklet, ' Swadeshi
Halchal Yan Mohbe Watan under section 124
I.P.C. They were sentenced to Kaala Pani (Andaman
& Nicobar Islands for five years and three
years each (latter two) and a fine of Rs.
500, and one thousand rupees each (the latter
two) respectively. This case was filed on
Sep. 10, 1909 and decided on Jan 21, 1910.
FIRST SINDHI HINDU M.L.A.:
Mr. Harchandrai Vishindas was elected from
the Sind Municipalities Constituency, Karachi
as Members of the Legislative Assembly, Bombay.
FIRST EXIBHITION OF SWADESHI ARTICLES:
Maharaj Lokram Nainram Sharma held the exhibition
of swadeshi articles in Hyderabad.
RAJRISHI DAYARAM: Sewa Sadan
Sabha was founded in Bombay by the Rajrishi
for the uplift of women.
RAJA HARISCHANDRA: The play
written and directed by Shri Kishinchand 'Bewas'
was presented by the Chandka Amateur Dramatic
Club, Larkana.
GULZAR AIN GULNAR: The play
adapted by Mr. Mirza Qalich Beg from Shakespeare's
'Romeo and Juliet' was directed by Shri Hiranand
B. Advani and presented by the D.J. Sind College
Amateur Dramatic Society, Karachi.
SINDHI-ENGLISH DICTIONARY: The second
part of this dictionary was published by Shri
Manghasing Moolchand.
MAHRUR BAM: This novel is an adaptation
of a Persian novel by Mohamed Siddiqi.
GULZAR NAZAM: This collection of
selected verses of well-known poets was published
by Shri Bherumal Mahrchand Advani. |
