FIRST M.Sc.: Mr. Jhamatrai Vishindas
Lakhani was the first Sindhi securing the
highest marks in the M.Sc. examination of
the Bombay University.
FIRST
SINDHI DAILY: Bharatwasi was started
by Shri Varuram Nishindas. It closed down
in 1916.
HINDU
SINDHI DAILY: This newspaper started
by Maharaj Nainaram Sharma and Maharaj Vishnu
Vainaram Sharma had a glorious record that
can stand comparision with that of any nationalist
paper of India. A security deposit of Rs.
2,000/- was taken from Sharma brothers to
brindle them. The brothers were grand maternal
uncles of the author of this book.

SOCIAL SAMMELAN: This Sammelan
was held at Vishin Nagar, Hyderabad. It
was organized by Seth Vishindas
Nihalchand.

HOME RULE SHOP:
The shop was opened by Shri Hariram Dayaram
Mariwalla at Karachi, where patriotic and
nationalist sort of literature and newspapers
were displayed for sale.

VISIT BY MAHATMA GANDHI TO SIND: Mahatma
Gandhi paid his first ever visit to Sind,
reaching Hyderabad on 6.3 1916 and visited
many towns.

eminent litterateur expired.

by Mr. Gangasingh Atmasingh Advani was directed
by Maharaj Tejbhandas Dramatic Society,
Shikarpur.

Mr. Nanikram D. Mirchandani from the Urdu
play 'Khwabi Hasti'. It was also directe
dby him and presented by Dharma Upkar Amateur
wrote the second part of the Grammar.
SHAITAN JI NAANI, KADAMBARI, DIL JO ARAM
and AJEEB DAWA: All these books were written
by Mirza Qalich Beg.

by Diwan Kauromal Chandanmal, is last book.
