years old Deepak Asha remained a bright
star in the music & film world since
last 50 years. As a director he made himself
very successful not only in Sindhi films,
but also won laurels in Hindi & Punjabi
films. Sindhi can never forget his first
Sindhi film in India "ABANA"
which create box office history as far
as Sindhi films are concerned. Again he
produced "Insaaf Kithe aa" and
directed "Shal Dhiyar na Jaman",
both very popular Sindhi feature films.
In
Hindi films where he was known as Dharam
Kumar, he introduced very popular stars
like Sheela, Nimmi, Rajkumar, Mehmood,
Sujit Kumar, Leela Mishra and Lalita.
He directed Hindi films namely "Jalte
Dep", "Ghamand", "Road
No. 304", "Spy in Goa",
Main aur Mera Bhai", "Chale
Hain Sasural", "Truck Driver",
"Ek Saal Pehle", etc of which
he was also producer of some films.
Before
his death, he completed under production
Sindhi films "Jai Jhulelal"
and "Sant Knwar Ram".
