Sindhi
Adabi Sangat was reported to be formed in Sindh
in 1947. Its active members are Aasanand Mamtura,
Prof M U Malghani and Gobind Malhi. Lal Chand
and Sobho Gianchandani assisted Sangat's committee.
There is reference to a meeting
which was attended by the following persons: Prof
M U Malkani, Lal Chand Dino Mal, Chohar Mal Hinduja,
Aasanand Mamtura, Gobind Malhi, Jeratti Subani,
Bhajewan Lalwani, Sobho Gghyanchandani aand Kerith
Babani.
The organization of Sindhi writers
Jamayat -- association - named as Sindhi Adabi
Sangat was formed.
Dr Adal Soomro, who has a doctorate
in Sindhi Adabi Sangat, is an active member of
it.
Thoug this association dissolved
itself with the partition, it was restructured
later in 1952. Recognising its popularity, it
was invited -- first time as an association -
for the Eighteenth Sindhi Adabi Conference at
Larkana on April 1956 .
