Chitaurgadh is a prestigious tourist and shistorical
fort city. More than 325 Sindhi families stay here
and the population of this city is one lakh. Most
of Sindhis speak Sindhi language. Most of them stay
in Pratap Nagar, where there are Sindhu Community
Hall with three rooms and Shanti Bhavan having 18
rooms and five temples such as Sai Purandas Bhagwandas
Darbar, Moti Maharaj Kutia, Sai Lenaram Darbar, Guru
Nanak Darbar, and Prem Prakash Ashram. Puj
Sindhi Panchayat is engaged in various social activities
for the welfare of the community. Its President
is Dunichand Bhojwani and Secretary Kishor Vaswani.
It also plans to work for co-ordination among different
Sindhi organizations right from the grassroot level
- village, city, district, state and centre. It
also conducts Sindhi teaching classes with the assistance
of Rajasthan Sindhi Academy. Chandra Lok Cinema
belongs to a Sindhi.
Veena Devi Nebhnani is Parshad in the Municipality.
The Organizing Secretary of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress
Committee is also a Sindhi and his name is Dilip
Nebhnani.
