VISHINDAS C. SADHWANI
Mr. Sadhwani was born in Hyderabad (Sind) on 19th
Feb 1932. he came to Calcutta after partition. He
studied in Navvidyalaya High School in Sind and later
in La-Martinere Calcutta and Jai Hind College Bombay.
Vishindas
worked in Sheila Departmental Stores for 10 years.
In 1959, he started his own garment factory with
one single machine due to extreme financial crisis.
He faced a lot of hardships and after a long struggle
he started a firm "Mercantile Corporation"
in 1962 having all Chinese workers. His registered
trade mark "Gazebo" is very well known
in India.
He
hastravelled to several places. He got married in
1965. his wife Rupa not only helps in designing
garments, but also manages her Montessori school
"Little Angels".
Mr.
Sadhwani helps a number of needy poor ladies by
getting them regular work from garment manufacturers.
He is member of Sindhi Merchant Association and
the Sindhi Panchayat. He gives free consultation
for Magneto Therapy, Accupressure etc.
