ATU BAHARMAL ADIANI
In1942, Atu was born in Kotri (Sind). When he had
just learnt to hold the chalk, partition took place.
His family came to Culcutta and Atu did his schooling
from st. Joseph's. later, he did a year of college
at St. Xaviers. Being
an adventurous person, he went to The Far East and
USA to try his luck. He spent about 12 years abroad,
and due to the death of his father he came and took
over the family business.
His
wife Devi from Hong Kong has a charming personality.
She is a keen organizer in holding social and charitable
functions for our community.
In
May 1995, enterprising Atu started a magazine "
The Sindhi Calcutta". It was a roaring success
for he was able to bring out the young talented
peopleamong the Sindhi community.
