Altogether there are 3,000 Sindhis in Kutiana, Saurashtra. There are 300 Sindhi houses in Bantwa, another city in Saurashtra and the activities of the Panchayats here are good. A Jhulelal Trust is helping the Sindhis in Kutiana. At a meeting, the idea of starting Sindhi classes was assured.

Sindhis residing in Jamnagar amount to 35,000. Most Sindhis here - including doctors, advocates and government officers - know Sindhi language. Sindhu Seva Trust in Jamnagar is managing a school and Sindhi language is compulsory in this school.

Meanwhile, the National Council for the Promotion of Sindhi Language's (NCPSL) efforts also are laudable in Saurashtra.
