There are 21 Primary Sindhi medium schools & 6 Sindhi
medium high schools and one English school with Sindhi
as one of the subjects. There is only one Sindhi Dharamshala
at Kalupur and no Central Panchayat in the city, which
has 15/20 Sindhi emples. The total population of city
is about 40 lakhs which includes 4 lakh Sindhis, who
speak nearly 90% in Sindhi. Moreover 10 weekly Sindhi
Newspapers are published from here in Sindhi script
such as Zindagi, Chingoon Rashtra Prem, Chandraprakash
Janni Janmabhoomi, Ahwal Sindhi, Sachai, Jhulelal
etc. one daily Sindhi Newspper "Hindu" is also published.
They have also published Maninagar Sindhi Directory.
They get half an hour Sindhi programme on T.V. on
alternate Monday and desire such more programmes.
