HARI DILGIR

Known by his nom-de-plume ‘Dilgir’, poet Hari Gurdinomal Daryani was born in Larkana (Sind). A graduate in engineering and Science from Bombay University, Hari Dilgir was the founder Principal of Tolani Polytechnic, Founder Secretary of Gandhidham Collegiate Board, Chairman, Gandhidham Bank as well as of Maitri Housing Society. His two books of poems, published in 1941, won him prizes from the Government of Sind. Hari Dilgir has also written a book of poems for children jointly with his mentor, K.Bewas and was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1979.
