DR. SATISH ROHRA

Born at Dadu (Sind) on August 15,1929, Dr. Satish Rohra is the Honorary Founder Director of Indian Institute of Sindhology, Adipur-Gandhidham. A linguist with a Ph.d. in Linguistics from Pune University, Dr. Rohra has taught Hindi and Linguistic at Banaras Hindu University, He was a visiting Professor of Hind and Indian Culture at the University of Guyana and was designated as First Secretary in the Indian Embassy at Guyana. A distinguished scholar, writer and critic, Dr. Rohra is an excellent speaker with excellent command over Sindhi, Hindi and English, the languages in which he has written several articles and books.
