HUNDRAJ DUKHAYAL
Born
in Larkana, Sind, Hundraj Lilaram Manik, popularly
known as ‘Dukhayal’, joined the Indian
National Congress, heeding to the call of the Mahatma.
He was arrested thrice by the British and in 1948
by the Government of Pakistan on false charges of
conspiracy to overthrow the Pakistan Government. Joining
Vinoba Bhave’s Bhoodan Movement in 1951, Hundraj
Dukhayal joined his ‘Pada Yatras’ to the
Southern States and even NEFA. He continues to be
closely associated with educational, cultural and
social service activities in Gandhidham, including
its publications. |
