There is only one Dharamshala. There are 5 panchyats,
one is city called Shahari Panchayat and 4 in Sant
Kanwarnagar (where all residents are Sindhis). There
are Larkana Panchayat (President Shri Girdharilal),
Sindh Jacomabad Panchayat (President Shri Lilaram
H. Madhwani), Garhi Mahre (resident Shri Kauromal)
& Bhavalpuri Panchayat (President Shri Gulomal).
There is no Central Panchayat. There are many Sindhi
Temples. The population of city is 6 lacs including
17000 Sindhis. All of them speaks in Sindhi, particularly
at Sant Kanwarnagar. 98% of them are in business.
There are two schools one primary and one high school
with Sindhi (Arabic) medium. They celebrate 5 melas
such as Sant Kanwarram's and Puj Baba Hardas Ram's
Varsi (combined), Bhai Garibdas, Sai Juriaram Sahib,
Sai Vasiaram Sahib and Sai Gobindram Hans Sahib.
The first one (i.e. Sant Kanwarram Sahib and Puj
Baba Haydasram) is celebrated on a very large scale,
wherein famous artists and musicians are invited
from different parts of India for at least 4 days.
Further more 4 provessions with Jhankis are taken
out on the auspicious occasion of Chetichand, Guru
Nanik Jayanti and Janmashtami. Hence it is not exaggerating
to state that any Sindhi visiting sant Kanwarnagar
gets a glimpse of minisindh. One magazine Sindhu
Ujala is published from here whose editor is Shri
Gordhan Tanwani. They have also published one Sindhi
Directory.
