Jamshedpur: Here 40 Sindhi families stay in the total city population of 15 lakh. They mainly stay in Sindhi Refugee Colony, near R.D.Tata High School (P.O.Agrico). They have built Sindhu Bhavan in this Colony in 1964 for doing all social functions as well as for lodging & marriage purpose. They have a Sindhi Panchayat whose President is Shri Amritlal Mohnani & Secretary is Shri Devanand Jumani. They celebrate Holy on a grand scale. Fifty percent of them speak in Sindhi among themselves. They are both in business & services (mainly of TISCO & TELCO etc.) They are mainly having middle class income. This city has many worth seeing famous tourist spots such as Dimna Park, Jublee Park, Rusi Modi Park built by Tatas. These can be compared with ‘Vrindavan Gardens’ of Mysore full with Musical Foundations. The Steel Factories of Tatas in this City are very famous throughout the world.
