The Wattumull Institute of Computer Technology and
Engineering belongs to Sindhis. Sindhis have many
colleges in Bombay; Jai Hind College, H R College
and K C College being the best. The
Vivekananda Education Society of Bombay is of significance.National
College belongs to Sindhis. In order to further
Sindhi language plans are on at the Mumbai University
to have the sindhi Bhasha Bhavan.This centre will
further popularization of Sindhi traditions, arts
and crafts, research activities. The library, museum,
anthropological research centre, film and photography
section and an art gallery will enable Sindhis to
greater heights.
Sindhis
took up the endeavour of establishing educational
institutions in Mumbai. The Sindhis have set up
more colleges than schools.The pioneering effort
in starting colleges in Mumbai was by K M Kundnani.
He was the Principal of National College in Hyderabad
(Sind).It was Kundnani's cherished dream to start
a college in Mumbai.
Accordingly,
Mr Kundnani, with great courage and perseverance,
was able to set up a college in Bandra in 1949 under
the Hyderabad (Sind) national Collegiate Board.The
college project owes its credit to H G Advani, for
his co-operation.Other Sindhi colleges are Hinduja
College and Raheja College.
