Hashu
Advani was elected to the Maharashtra Assembly
from Chembur thrice in 1967, 1972 and 1980 and
was also appointed a Minister in 1977.
Shri Hashu Advani was highly intelligent, a
man of immense sacrifice and a thoroughly selfless
man. He had a depth to his personality that
could not be easily fathomed. He devoted his
life towards working for the mental, physical
and educational development of women and children
.He had built many institutions since he believed
that they give substance to ideas, which he
was full of! His incomplete dream to build an
Engineering and a Management college is about
to be fulfilled now, as the plot for the same
is about to be obtained from the government
.A structure called 'Sindhu Bhavan' would also
be built on the same plot which would reflect
the image and character of Sindhi culture, Sindhi
tradition and Sindhi courage. It will have a
temple, a big hall, a Nari Shala, a house for
senior citizens and a hostel for students. It
would contain pictures and statues of great
men, an information centre and a library and
research center. |
