The city has one Panchayat and one Dharamshala, Puj Sindhi Panchayat gives free books to needy students and prizes to deserving students. The city's population is nearly 1lack including about 300 Sindhi families with 5 Sindhi Temples. About 80% speak in Sindhi but there is no Sindhi school or night class in Sindhi. One magazine Jhulelal Jyoti is published annually by the Panchayat in mixed languages
