BHILWARA city's population is a little more than 3 lakhs including 13000 Sindhis. The Shirting and Suiting industry of this city is famous throughout the country. 90 per cent of the Sindhis speak Sindhi language.

There are so many Sindhi organizations like Sindhi Central Panchayat - the important persons are Devandas Hardasani, Kailash Kripalani, Sindhu Seva Samiti - President is Rajkumar Badlani; Guru Seva Sansthan, Sant Kanwarram Vidhva Mandal, Sindhi Navyuvak Mandal and Akhand Dham Tirthastan. These organizations are working for the social welfare of the community.

There are so many dharmashalas and temples like Hari Shewa Dham, Dada Sahib Dharmashala, Sant kanwarram Dharmashala & Hemu Kalani Statue; both in Sindhu Nagar, Baharwani Sindhi Dharmashala, Gopaldas Sindhi Dharmashala & Prem Prakash Ashram; both in Bapu Nagar. Except Hari Shewa Dham all the other Dharmashalas are for the sake of marriages only.
